I always thought that taking cold showers was useless but after discovering the benefits I realized I was missing out on a beneficial bio/life hack.

So today I'm here to tell you, why you should start taking cold showers

Here are 4 reasons why I believe cold showers can be the ultimate biohack.

1. Reduces Stress Levels

Regularly taking cold showers imposes a small amount of stress on your body, which leads to a process called hardening. This means that your nervous system gradually gets used to handling moderate levels of stress. The hardening process helps you to keep a cool head, the next time you find yourself in a stressful situation. (Wim Hof)

2. A higher Level of Alertness. Cold showers wake your body up, inducing a higher state of alertness. The cold also stimulates you to take deeper breaths, decreasing the level of CO2 throughout the body, helping you concentrate. Cold showers thus keep you ready and focused throughout the day. (Wim Hof)

3. Improves Immunity

A study in England showed that regular cold showers trigger an increase in the metabolic speed rate and the number of white blood cells in the body, which then help fight diseases.

4. Increased Willpower

It takes a strong mind to endure the cold for extended periods of time. By incorporating cold showers into your daily routine, you are strengthening your willpower, which benefits many aspects of (your) daily life. (Wim Hof)

But for those who are saying that they don't want to start taking cold showers, I would recommend making it a habit. Dave Asprey said, "Start small. On the first day, do it for 10 seconds. The next day, do it for 20." Gradually increase every day.

It only takes a few uncomfortable sessions before realizing that cold showers aren't that bad.

This is a biohack that has an amazing ROI!

And regardless of whatever your health goals are, this biohack is sure to help you achieve that.
