For those of you who don't know what Reddit is, It's one of the most popular websites ever created. The site gets around 1 billion website visits a month. It's a great place to spark a convo, learn about new topics or even debate with other Redditors.

Recently, I visited some subreddits to read about people's stories and thoughts on Keto. Most importantly, I wanted to see if Keto actually worked...
I have gathered the best comments, and stories and posted them below.
What's Keto
First of all, what is Keto? The popular ketogenic diet is a high-fat, adequate-protein, low-carbohydrate diet that involves strictly limiting carbs to less than 50 grams a day (that's no more than two apples' worth) and subsisting primarily on high-fat foods, is one of those restrictive diets that could have harmful long-term consequences.
The idea is for you to get more calories from protein and fat and less from carbohydrates. You cut back most of the carbs that are easy to digest, like sugar, soda, pastries, and white bread. (WebMd)

"Went to the airport arrivals to pick up my sister and her kids. (We last saw each other in May) I had a sign with her last name on it. There were quite a few taxi/limo drivers waiting for clients.
She knew I was waiting for them, but as she came out she looked my way, I held up the sign and she shook her head quickly to say "No I don't need a cab", looked away than a couple of beats later turned back, broke into a big grin looking at me and shook her head but really slowly this time."
TL/DR: Sister didn't recognize me at the airport when I went to pick her up.
Me: Wow Keto works!

My one year keto anniversary. Lost lots of fat and no longer diabetic.
Here are pictures of my one year keto anniversary. I started 54 year old male Jan 3 2019. SW 220 CW 189 GW 185. My A1c was 7.7% now down to 5.5%. The after pic is with the guy who got me going on keto. I added IF after about six weeks. https://imgur.com/a/tCQhBVU

Keto is like any diet if you follow it correctly, it works. I lost 80 lbs in about 6 months on it. If you fall off the wagon it's really easy to pack the weight back on quickly though.
The one advantage for me with keto over other diet styles is that I can eat at a caloric deficit and still not be hungry, due to the style of foods you eat.
Maybe 2020 is the year for you to start Keto?
