K Health
Quick Overview
- K is the first health app that uses AI to deliver personalized primary care better, faster, and cheaper.
- An HIPAA-compliant AI healthcare app (available on both iOS and Android) that collects anonymous information from users about their medical background and chronic conditions.
- Founders Adam Singolda, Allon Bloch, Israel Roth, Ran Shaul started K-Health in 2016.
K-Health's Business Model
K Health has the "Chat with a doctor" service for just $14 (if needed)
If needed, you can chat with an expert doctor for just $14 ($39/year for unlimited chats) who can diagnose, prescribe medicine, and order lab tests.
K's website states that " unlike traditional doctor visits, you can keep chatting with your doctor whenever you need to at no additional charge. Ask new questions as your symptoms change to get continuous care anytime you need it."
K-Health's Mission
K Health is trying to disrupt the health-care industry and looks to give healthcare consumers a chance to benefit from big data. Allon Bloch, CEO and cofounder of K Health, said in a statement. “With K, we use real data from millions of people so you discover and understand the medical outcomes of people like you and have informed conversations with your providers about treatment options. It’s about time people had unfettered access to trustworthy health information backed by real doctors as opposed to the generic and confusing information found online.”
How does K-Health work?
By analyzing data from hundreds of thousands of patients in their anonymous database, the app uses artificial intelligence to provide lay people with insights and tips on how to better manage their medical conditions.
- Any user can enter symptoms and ailments on the app to see a list of potential diagnoses. Most importantly, based on the information entered, users are shown the option to connect with appropriate specialists in their local area. With more than one third of internet users using the internet to diagnose medical conditions, this database is a game changer for hundreds of millions of people all over the world.
